WELCOME TO THE TOMAHAWK TIMES NEWSPAPER WEBSITE

First and foremost, the original Tomahawk Times Newspaper was started at Oceana High School. After Oceana High came to a close, the high school became a middle school. All of the students went to Westside High School. After the students went to Westside, the newspaper died. In 2005, at Oceana Middle School, student Nick Lawrence decided to start it back up. Below is the story of how it started back up!

If you have information of the former Tomahawk Times Newspaper, e-mail us at tomahawktimesnews@gmail.com. Thanks!

In 2005 a group of kids decided to start something. Something that soon made Oceana Middle draw closer together. The three kids; Nick Lawrence, Katelyn Trent, and Courtney Morgan wanted to start a newspaper.

Names were flying all through the room that day until we decided on one name, “The Oceanian”. After talking about it with the teacher, she stated that Oceana High School had a newspaper and it was called “Tomahawk Times”. This idea was like the peanut to the butter. We all thought that it would be a great idea to keep something going.
